1 season sleeping bag are a travellers best friend when heading to warmer climates such as Asia and Africa. They and lightweight and compact and can compress down tiny compared to other season sleeping bags making them ideal to shove in your backpack. They are so small and lightweight as they don’t contain much insulation or filling, they wont usually keep you warm in temperatures under 10 degrees. They can act as a layer between you and any suspect hostel beds and be used as bedding, or they can be used simply as a sheet would back home. They are also usually the cheapest sleeping bags on the market and when teamed with a liner you can sometimes get the same comfort temperature as a 2 season but for cheaper and with less bulk in your backpack. One season sleeping bags also weigh less due to the simple design of most of them, they haven’t got any unnecessary features such as baffles as they are usually not needed where you are headed. Although some of our more high end one season sleeping bags do offer the same features as higher season bags, such as built in mosquito nets within the hood and anti bacterial protection.
